2 very cute tiny black kittens will be coming my way Monday - let's hope this is a GOOD THING

Bee Haven Bev said...

Hi Andrea...thanks for stopping by my farm blog and leaving me a comment. I thought I would answer your question. I have no idea why my bees are dying. If there is a disease in the colony, I don't want to put new bees into that environment. To optimize the success of the hive, I would just feel better introducing new bees into a new hive. Our old hives were given to us a few years ago by a retiring beekeeper. So, they have been used over and over. Perhaps it is time to begin anew....since we really just do not know why all of this is happening to bees.

I am committed to having a thriving apiary...whatever it takes. Without bees, our world might not survive.

Most people do not know that you can raise bees even in the city. My hope is that more and more people take an interest in helping these tiny, necessary creatures.

So glad you were interested in the subject. Have a wonderful week!
